Course Objectives 1. Describe the fundamentals of Construction Management processes, methods and standards applied on Interior Architecture Projects. 2. Develop the student’s skills in conducting and reporting independent research focused on: construction phases, drawing standards and project planning methods applied on Interior Design projects. 4. Improve the student’s skills in producing standard graphical documents and charts.
Learning Outcomes The students who succeeded in this course;
  • Understand the fundaments of construction management and project planning.
  • Analyze built projects.
  • Prepare oral and written process report on the assigned case studies.
  • Describe interior architecture projects within its construction phases and its complexity.
  • Estimate cost of building.
  • Produce graphical documents and charts in order to communicate the project among the disciplines involved in an interior architecture construction process.
Course Description The course aims to introduce the students to the fundamentals of construction management and project planning focused on interior architecture projects. The course will be structured in 2 blocks: the first one will approach the basics of construction management and project planning processes and methods on the theoretical basis while the second will deal with the building planning methods and standards trough applied exercises on interior projects built environments.
